Timothy Birdsall : ウィキペディア英語版 | Timothy Birdsall Timothy Birdsall (10 May 1936 – 10 June 1963〔(British Cartoon Archive, University of Kent )〕) was an English cartoonist. Birdsall was born in Cambridge. While a student there, he illustrated ''Granta''. During National Service he was selected for officer training at Eaton Hall in March 1955 but did not finish the course. He became known for his appearandes on the BBC’s ''That Was The Week That Was''. He was once shown behind a glass panel improvising drawings on it with a paintbrush though he usually worked with an ink-marker on paper. He also contributed to ''Private Eye'', ''The Spectator'', and ''The Sunday Times''. After he died of leukaemia, aged 27, the BBC made a tribute programme.
